Terms of use

Welcome to Ora Spa. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the booking, purchase and use of our spa treatments, products, memberships and related services.

By accessing our website, booking an appointment, purchasing a product or using any Ora Spa service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

01

About Ora Spa

Ora Spa provides wellness, beauty, massage, facial, body-care and related spa services.

In these Terms and Conditions, “Ora Spa”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Ora Spa. “Client”, “you” and “your” refer to anyone accessing our website, making a booking or receiving our services.

02

Appointments and bookings

Appointments may be made through our website, by telephone, through an approved messaging platform or directly at our spa.

When making a booking, you must provide accurate and complete information.

  • Provide accurate contact information.
  • Disclose relevant treatment preferences.
  • Wait for confirmation before considering the booking complete.
03

Deposits and advance payments

Where a deposit is required, your appointment will not be confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Deposits are applied toward the final cost of the treatment.
  • Deposits may be transferred when an appointment is rescheduled within the permitted notice period.
  • Deposits may be forfeited for late cancellations or failure to attend an appointment.
  • Deposits cannot be transferred to another person without prior approval from Ora Spa.
04

Cancellations and rescheduling

We understand that plans may change. Clients should provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before an appointment may result in the loss of the booking deposit or the application of a cancellation fee.

Repeated late cancellations may require full advance payment for future appointments.

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us using our official contact details.

05

Late arrival and failure to attend

Please arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time for check-in and any required consultation.

If you arrive late:

  • Your treatment may be shortened to avoid delaying another client.
  • The full treatment price may still apply.
  • If there is insufficient time to perform the treatment safely and properly, the appointment may be cancelled and treated as a late cancellation.

Failure to attend a confirmed appointment without notice may result in the loss of your deposit or advance payment.

06

Treatment consultation and health information

Before receiving a treatment, you may be required to complete a consultation or consent form.

You must disclose any information that may affect the safety or suitability of your treatment, including:

  • Allergies or skin sensitivities
  • Pregnancy or suspected pregnancy
  • Existing medical conditions
  • Recent surgery or injury
  • Medication currently being taken
  • Skin infections, irritation or open wounds
  • Recent cosmetic, facial or body procedures
  • Any other relevant health concern

Information provided during a consultation must be accurate and complete. Ora Spa will not be responsible for complications resulting from information that was withheld, incomplete or inaccurate.

Where appropriate, we may recommend that you obtain advice or clearance from a qualified healthcare professional before receiving a treatment.

07

Treatment consent

By proceeding with a treatment, you confirm that:

  • The treatment has been explained to you.
  • You have had an opportunity to ask questions.
  • You have disclosed relevant health and medical information.
  • You understand the expected benefits and possible reactions.
  • You voluntarily consent to receiving the treatment.

You may ask the therapist to pause or stop a treatment at any time.

Ora Spa may refuse or discontinue a treatment where we reasonably believe that continuing may be unsafe, inappropriate or contrary to professional standards.

08

Treatment results and reactions

Treatment experiences and results vary from one person to another. We do not guarantee a particular cosmetic, therapeutic or wellness result.

Some treatments may cause temporary reactions such as:

  • Mild redness
  • Tenderness
  • Dryness
  • Sensitivity
  • Temporary breakouts
  • Minor discomfort

You must follow all aftercare instructions provided by your therapist.

If you experience an unexpected or serious reaction, stop using any recommended products and seek appropriate medical advice. Please also notify Ora Spa as soon as reasonably possible.

Our treatments are intended to support relaxation, wellness and personal care. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or professional healthcare advice.

09

Professional conduct

Ora Spa is committed to maintaining a respectful, safe and professional environment.

Clients must behave appropriately toward our employees, therapists and other guests. Harassment, threatening behaviour, discrimination, abusive language, sexual misconduct or inappropriate physical contact will not be tolerated.

We reserve the right to immediately end a treatment or ask a client to leave where inappropriate behaviour occurs. In such circumstances, a refund may not be provided.

10

Children and younger clients

Clients below the age of 18 may require the consent and, where appropriate, the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

Certain treatments may not be available to younger clients. Ora Spa reserves the right to determine whether a treatment is suitable based on the client’s age, health and treatment requirements.

Children who are not receiving a service should not be brought into treatment areas unless prior arrangements have been approved.

11

Prices and payments

All prices displayed on our website or promotional materials are stated in Ghana cedis unless otherwise indicated.

Prices may be changed at any time. However, confirmed bookings will generally be charged at the price agreed when the appointment was confirmed unless the booking is later changed.

Payments may be accepted through the payment methods approved by Ora Spa, including cash, card, mobile money or an authorised online payment service.

You are responsible for ensuring that payment details provided to us are valid and that sufficient funds are available.

12

Promotions, packages and discounts

Promotions, discounts and special offers:

  • Are subject to availability.
  • May have specific validity periods and conditions.
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Cannot usually be combined unless expressly stated.
  • May be withdrawn or changed before a booking is confirmed.
  • Must be used within the stated promotional period.

Where a package contains several treatments, unused portions may expire at the end of the package validity period.

13

Memberships

Where Ora Spa offers membership plans, membership benefits are subject to the conditions provided when the membership is purchased.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Memberships are for the registered member only.
  • Membership benefits cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Missed appointments remain subject to our cancellation policy.
  • Membership fees already paid are generally non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • Benefits must be used within the applicable membership period.
  • Memberships may be suspended or cancelled for misuse or serious breaches of these Terms.

Additional membership conditions may be provided separately and will form part of these Terms.

14

Gift cards and vouchers

Gift cards and treatment vouchers:

  • Must be presented when redeemed.
  • Are subject to their stated expiry date.
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or used without authorisation, except at our discretion.
  • May not be used to purchase another gift card.
  • Must be used toward eligible Ora Spa services or products.

Where the value of a treatment exceeds the voucher balance, the client must pay the difference.

15

Product purchases and returns

Clients should inspect products before leaving the spa.

For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or used skincare, cosmetic and personal-care products generally cannot be returned unless they are defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied.

Any concern regarding a product should be reported promptly, together with proof of purchase.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16

Service concerns and refunds

If you are dissatisfied with a treatment, please inform your therapist or management as soon as possible so that we can assess and address the concern.

Completed treatments are generally non-refundable because time, products and professional services have already been provided. However, each complaint will be considered fairly based on its circumstances.

Where appropriate, Ora Spa may offer a correction, alternative treatment, service credit or refund at its discretion and in accordance with applicable law.

17

Personal belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings while visiting Ora Spa.

Where storage is provided, you are encouraged to use it. Ora Spa will not be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged belongings unless the loss or damage resulted directly from our proven negligence.

Please avoid bringing unnecessary valuables to your appointment.

  • Failure to disclose relevant medical or health information

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct or proven negligence.

Events beyond our control

Ora Spa will not be responsible for delays, cancellations or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including power interruptions, equipment failure, severe weather, public emergencies, government restrictions, illness or other unavoidable events.

Where possible, we will contact affected clients and offer a reasonable opportunity to reschedule.

25
